Meals

At lunch time children can have either a school meal that is prepared each day in our school kitchen or bring a packed lunch from home.

School meals are provided in school by Hertfordshire Catering Limited. There is a daily choice of nutritionally balanced meals including a hot meat, hot vegetarian, jacket potato and packed lunch options.

Currently all infant aged children are entitled to a universal free school meal, meaning that parents do not need to pay.

Our school lunch menu can be adapted for children who have dietary requirements. Herts Catering ask parents to register these requirements online on their website – specialmenu.hcl.co.uk – you will need to upload a photograph of your child together with medical evidence of their allergy (e.g. a letter from your GP or hospital clinic). If you do not do this then we cannot provide a meal for your child.

Children who are vegetarian / halal do not need to be registered online, although we do ask you to make sure the school is aware of these requirements when they join us.

If you choose to provide a packed lunch we ask that you do not send in fizzy drinks, chocolate bars or any products containing nuts (e.g. flapjacks, peanut butter or nutella) as we are a nut free school.
