Our commitment

Watford Field School (Infant & Nursery) is committed to ensuring the security and protection of the personal information that we process, and to providing a compliant and consistent approach to data protection. We are confident that our current policies and procedures have complied with all previous laws but also recognise the need to ensure these are compliant with ongoing changes to GDPR legislation and the UK’s Data Protection Bill.

We are dedicated to safeguarding the personal information that we process, and to developing procedures that are effective and robust.

At Watford Field School (Infant & Nursery) we have undertaken the following actions to ensure maximum and ongoing compliance:

Information security & technical and organisational measures

At Watford Field School (Infant & Nursery) we take the privacy and security of individuals and their personal information very seriously, and we take every reasonable measure and precaution to protect and secure the personal data that we process. We have robust information security policies and procedures in place to protect personal information from unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction, and we have several layers of security measures which are provided by Hertfordshire County Council

GDPR roles

Watford Field School (Infant & Nursery) has designated Herts for Learning to act in the capacity of our Data Protection Officer to ensure that the school is complying with data protection Regulation. The   Governors are responsible for promoting awareness of the GDPR across the organisation, assessing our GDPR readiness, identifying any gaps and implementing the new policies, procedures and measures.

Watford Field School (Infant & Nursery) understands that continuous employee and parent awareness and understanding is vital to the continued compliance with the GDPR.
